The Honourable Member representing the good people of Langtang North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Bennie Lar, has thanked her constituents for their steadfast support over the past decades as their Member of the House of Representatives.
Speaking to journalists at the Thisday Dome Event Centre in Abuja, during the celebration marking one hundred years of the Daily Times Newspaper from 1926 to 2026, and the award presentation to distinguished Nigerians who have contributed in diverse ways to shape and reshape the Nigerian nation, Hon. Lar expressed deep appreciation to the people of Langtang North and South for standing by her throughout the years.
The amiable lawmaker thanked her constituents for their overwhelming loyalty, stressing that without their unwavering support, she would not have served as their representative for close to two decades. She further reassured the people that she remains committed to delivering quality representation and bringing tangible developmental dividends of democracy to the constituency.
She declared, “If the people of Langtang North and South vote for me in 2027, I promise them better representation, more job opportunities, and a voice that will be echoed from the Green Chamber of the National Assembly. Government and governance will come closer to Langtang North and South. If reelected in 2027…”
Earlier, in her remarks on Daily Times Newspaper and its centenary milestone, Hon. Bennie Lar congratulated the entire management and staff of the media organisation for sustaining the legacy of credible journalism for one solid hundred years—from 1926 to 2026.
She described Daily Times as an “uncompromised platform of journalism,” lauding its consistent delivery of stories and its provision of information in an unbiased manner. Hon. Lar noted that the newspaper has set a defining standard in Nigerian journalism, adding that the nation indeed has every reason to celebrate the feat.
