The Deputy Director, Presidential Campaign Council, Dr. Rahiha Muktar, has disclosed that the Presidential Campaign Council’s Medical Directorate has alerted Nigerians—particularly those on the campaign circuit—that a fully equipped medical team is on standby to respond promptly to any emergencies that may arise at campaign venues in Kaduna State. Speaking to journalists after a thorough inspection of the venue, she stated that essential medical facilities, including mini-clinics, were fully operational, with over three ambulances, an ample supply of drugs, and sufficient quantities of face masks and hand gloves available on site. She further noted that highly qualified medical personnel would be positioned strategically to provide immediate attention in the event of any health-related incident. The Governing Council of the University of Maiduguri has approved the promotion of Dr. Mohammed Alhaji Audu—formerly Provost, College of Education, Waka-Biu—to the rank of Professor of Finance. The decision was ratified at the Council’s 167th meeting held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. Audu served as Provost of the College of Education, Waka-Biu, Borno State, from August 2017 to August 2021. He subsequently joined the University of Maiduguri’s Department of Banking and Finance in the Faculty of Management Sciences. In 2022, he was elevated to the position of Associate Professor, where he has continued to advance both teaching and research in the field of finance. He also holds an LLB (Hons) in Public Law from the University of Maiduguri. Professor Audu further serves as an external Member of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Army University Biu, a role he has held since August 2024 to date.
