The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nests & Nails Nigeria Limited and Secretary of the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN), Dr. Akinkunmi Oladipupo, has described his firm as one of Nigeria’s foremost real estate companies, reiterating its commitment to delivering affordable, high-quality housing while generating sustainable wealth through strategic property investment.
Speaking with journalists during the 2026 Africa International Housing Show (AIHS), held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, to mark the event’s 20th anniversary, Oladipupo said the annual housing exhibition has remained Africa’s leading platform for showcasing innovation, attracting investors, and fostering strategic partnerships across the real estate value chain.
He further noted that Nests & Nails has earned distinction through integrity, professionalism, and dependable quality assurance in its housing solutions, garnering commendations both within Nigeria and beyond its shores.
Oladipupo also disclosed that the company has established a strategic partnership with DAMAC Properties, one of Dubai’s most celebrated luxury real estate developers, thereby enabling Nigerian investors to access premium international property opportunities.
“The Africa International Housing Show provides us with an excellent platform to showcase our capacity, interact with potential clients, attract new investors, and strengthen partnerships with stakeholders from across Africa and beyond. It is one of the biggest gatherings for the housing industry on the continent,” he said.
The real estate executive specifically emphasized that housing remains one of humanity’s most essential needs, underscoring that the demand for decent accommodation will continue to rise regardless of prevailing economic conditions. He explained that real estate remains among the safest and most dependable avenues for long-term investment, stressing that every society requires housing and infrastructure to sustain development.
Responding to questions on whether President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic reforms have adversely affected the sector, Oladipupo maintained that while the economy has undergone adjustments, the housing industry has remained resilient.
“I am not a politician, but I can confidently say that the current administration’s policies have not stopped real estate development. Shelter is a basic necessity, just like food. People will always need homes irrespective of the economic situation,” he stated.
He also commended the ongoing infrastructure transformation within the Federal Capital Territory under the leadership of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, describing large-scale road projects, urban renewal initiatives, and expansions of public infrastructure as encouraging signals for housing investors.
“Take a look at Abuja today—there is visible development in every nook and cranny. These infrastructure projects are creating new opportunities for developers, improving accessibility, enhancing property values, and stimulating further investments into the real estate sector. I believe the momentum will continue to strengthen the sector in the coming years,” he added.
