Speaking to journalists in Abuja during stakeholders’ engagement, rally, and mobilisation, Aigbogun praised Hon. Ademola Ade-John for putting together, within less than one month, a programme of such magnitude that will further acquaint Nigerians with the achievements of the President and his impending plans for a second term. He also extended congratulations to the lawmaker for demonstrating uncommon dedication and commitment to the Renewed Hope agenda.
Sunday Aigbogun, SCN, further stated that anyone or any group that wishes to undermine the re-election of President Tinubu for the second term is, in effect, not acting in the best interest of the country. He explained that Bola Ahmed Tinubu has performed creditably and deserves another term in office.
According to him, “having made several strides in his first four years, he requires more time to consolidate on the gains already achieved.” He added that numerous policies of the administration have positively impacted the economy, catapulted Nigeria within the comity of nations, and recorded a growing trajectory for the Gross Domestic Product.
He went on to some of President Tinubu’s notable achievements within his first four years to include: the outright removal of the oil subsidy, which has fostered liberalisation within the oil and gas sector; the construction of the Lagos–Calabar Highway, designed to open up the southern corridor of road connectivity; and the Sokoto–Lagos Super Highway, a project that had long been in limbo since the era of former President Shehu Shagari, but which the President has now revitalised and advanced towards completion.
Addressing developments in education, Sunday Aigbogun SCN,ESQ PNM noted that the President has established and funded NELFUND to support indigent students through accessible loans with flexible and repayable terms. He also said the administration has taken proactive steps in engaging university stakeholders, leading to interventions after prolonged disruptions, including those arising from lecturers’ and university staff’ strikes.
On the health sector, he stated that the country has witnessed substantial improvements, noting that the primary healthcare system has been strengthened significantly, thereby boosting service delivery across communities.
He further highlighted that the economy has recorded meaningful progress, with the naira maintaining relative stability against major foreign currencies compared to the volatile situation witnessed in earlier periods. He also reminded Nigerians that foreign
companies are returning to invest in solid minerals, including lithium, gold, and other critical mineral resources.
Concerning the petroleum sector, Aigbogun noted that significant reforms have been implemented, including the reduction of fuel scarcity indicators—such as the disappearance of queues in filling stations—and improved fuel availability, operating effectively around the clock.
In conclusion, Sunday Aigbogun, SAN, expressed confidence that given President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s landmark achievements, the President deserves more than a single term in office. He extended his appreciation to the leadership and management of United Commercial Keke and Motorcycle Raiders of Nigeria (UCKEMORAN) for championing and sustaining the Renewed Hope agenda.
The top echelon of the union, drawn from various states, graced the ccasion. Prominent among the personalities that witnessed the rally and engagements was the Director General of the National Geological Survey Agency, Prof. Olusegun Omoniyi Ige.
