Governor Fintiri Honoured By Commonwealth of Nurses and Midwives Federation (CNMF)
The Executive Governor of Adamawa State, His Excellency Ahmadu Fintiri, has received a prestigious award from the Commonwealth Nurses and Midwives Federation. The ceremony took place at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
Speaking on the award presented to the Governor, the Principal Special Adviser on Primary Health in Adamawa State, Dr. Aliyu Aminu Ismaila described the honour as thoroughly deserved, citing the numerous achievements recorded by the Governor in strengthening the healthcare system across the state.
According to Dr. Aminu Ismaila, under the current administration, many hospitals and primary healthcare centres have undergone meaningful renovations. He further stated that, under Fintiri, essential drugs are consistently made available to primary healthcare facilities to meet the needs of the people.
Dr. Ismaila also highlighted the Governor’s commitment to welfare and staff support, noting that salaries and other entitlements owed to healthcare workers and other stakeholders have been diligently paid.
In conclusion, Dr. Ismaila affirmed that the award will not only reinforce gains already achieved in the healthcare sector, but will also serve as a catalyst for progress in other critical areas of Adamawa State’s development.
