Non Governmental Organization Recognizes Brig. General Kingsley Chidiebere Ụwa, the Commander 6 Brigade Jalingo, Taraba State for Outstanding Performance.By CHINONYEREM Igwe


A delegation from Like Minds Support for Good Governance in Africa, in collaboration with the Centre for Reforms and Public Advocacy, visited Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, Commander of 6 Brigade, to recognize his exceptional leadership and contributions to security and peace in Taraba State today 3rd January 2026.

The organization presented him with the "Award of Excellent Performance in Security and Peace in Taraba State".

The award acknowledges Brigadier General Uwa's courageous and sleepless efforts in combating banditry, terrorism, organized crime, and other forms of criminalities  have tremendously improved the security landscape in Taraba State. 
During his tenure, he implemented intelligence-led operations, resulting in the dismantling of bandit and terrorist camps, and the rescue of abducted victims.

Led by Mr. Rowland Odey, the team expressed their appreciation for Brigadier General Uwa's dedication to duty. In his response, Brigadier General Uwa expressed his gratitudes to the organization for the recognition, pledging continued support and commitment to serving the people of Taraba State. 
,Gen.Uwa thanked the Organizations for the award and urged Non Governmental Organization to also channel their efforts that would build unity  especially from the angle of boosting the moral of the Military.
The award ceremony was also witnessed by some other senior personnelsl of 6 Brigade Jalingo
The highlight of the occasion was group photographs with Brig.Gen. Kingsley Chidiebere Ụwa, Senior officers and the Non Governmental Organization.
