Prof. Oti Advises Nigerians to Maintain Integrity and shun Corruptions. CHINONYEREM IGWE

A well  respected Prof. of soil science,and erudite scholar, a woman of integrity and justice, Prof Mrs. Nnenna Oti, the Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Technology Owerri, the  woman who stood on her ground when  corruption came calling during the 2023 gubernatorial election in Abia State has just been recognized by another powerful Non Governmental Organization , the Integrity Summit for her fearlessness,doggedness and stand for justice and equity.
 The  award was bestowed  on her for her  solid stand against, corruption and bribery rocking the the entire system in Nigeria.
Receiving the award on behalf of the revered Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Technology Owerri, who was unavailably absent. Mr. Chukwu Ognonnia described the award not surprising considering how the Vice Chancellor has carved a niche for her self for refusing to compromise integrity, justice,truth for immediate gains.
Answering questions from a team of journalists,Mr Ognonnia said,"she did not carve a niche for herself alone, but she only stood by the truth she also wanted  people's mandate to count, let the people's votes count, she insisted' However, people should understand she  did not want to do something right that would benefit her, but believing in herself and she believes in her values."
Mr. Ognonnia reminded, people that any other Good Nigerian could do better what Prof. Mrs. Nnenna Oti did. He said that integrity is a choice and you have other alternatives, but Prof. Nnenna Oti chose the alternative that was better,and alternative  that was the best for the country and she  stood by the truth.
He therefore, encouraged every other Nigerian to toe the path of the erudite scholar of  Prof. Oti.       Today her name has gone viral for good in Nigeria and beyond for standing and maintaining the side of the truth and that integrity has benefits  attached to it 
Mr. Chukwu Ognonnia crowned it all by saying , ' the award given to her would spur her to do the right things and encourage other Nigerians that doing the right thing is beneficial to one,and not only to the society 
We must recall that Prof Mrs. Nnenna Oti was the Independent National Electroial Commission ( INEC) returning officer for the 2023 Governorship Election in Abia State, who vehemently refused to alter results against the choice of the people who voted massively for the incumbent Governor of Abia State. H. E  Alex  Chioma Otti.
