The Chairman of the Amanci Cattle Market in Awka South Local Government Area, Alhaji Bello Maigari has applauded the people of Anambra State for their peaceful and orderly conduct during the November 8 governorship election. Speaking to newsmen, he hailed the electorates for demonstrating maturity and unity throughout the exercise.
Alhaji Maigari expressed deep appreciation to the Hausa Community in the state for their overwhelming support for His Excellency, Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, whom he described as an exceptional visionary leader. He noted that Governor Soludo’s remarkable performance in his first term—particularly in infrastructure development, security improvements, road construction, economic reforms and urban renewal—contributed significantly to his well-deserved second-term victory.
According to him, the Hausa community has enjoyed a cordial and peaceful relationship with their host communities in Anambra, a harmony he believes has strengthened mutual trust and co-operation. When asked about challenges faced by the cattle market, the chairman appealed to the state government to consider providing a larger and more modern market space. He emphasized that an expanded location with upgraded facilities would enhance business operations and further contribute to the state’s economic growth.
Alhaji Maigari concluded by reaffirming the community’s support for Governor Soludo and expressed confidence that his second term would bring even greater development and prosperity to Anambra State.
