Itwas a dream come true at the just concluded 2nd International Railway Conference held in Abuja.
The conference which attracted dignitaries for both local and international investors in the speed train industry dominating the discourse on importance of speed train track especially in a country like Nigeria.
Participants from various states of the federation,and some commissioners of transportation from various states gracing the occasion, and the Vice President, Shettima declaring the event open.
A foremost construction company, Da SEDAL CONSORTIUM was very visible both in terms of paper presentations and ensuring that the successful hosting of the event.
Speaking to newsmen Vice President of Capital Da Sadel Consortium Engr. Mfon Eyoma said that the company came with the state of the art facilities and construction and management expertise in Speed Train industries. According to him de Sadel as one of the most qualified or if the most qualified company to handle speed train track and business in Africa.
The Engr. also added that the country has much to benefit from speed train. Among which included , you spend less time, you safely is more assured than other transportation system, it going to provide enough revenue generation to the all tiers of government in Nigeria. Also creating jobs either in informal and formal sector, thereby giving employment to people.
Elaborating more, Engr. Eyoma disclosed that the pilot cities of Lagos, Kano, Abuja and Port Harcourt and made it clear that other cities would follow suit. Da Sedal could be recalled was the major sponsor and contriutor of the event in terms of manpower, technical power and paper presentations.He said,"the era of speed train and track revolution has started with De Sedal Consortium as a major key player in the speed train revolution"
Also speaking, a traditional ruler from Eket Ancient Kingdom in Akwa Ibom ,His Majesty Edidem Charles Abia, louded the initiative and coming at the right time transportation system is very difficult for people. He prayed that whatever is going be the out com of the Summit would not be swept under the carpet.
His Royal Majesty, therefore us the opportunity to ask the Federal Government to also consider Lagos to Calabar speed train track to facilitate movement of goods and service to the people of South South region.
